Tatranská Kotlina

Sanatórium Tatranská Kotlina

The Sanatórium Tatranská Kotlina, n.o. facility is located in the Tatranská Kotlina village, which was created at the foot of the Belianske Tatra Mts. after a cave was discovered there in 1881. Tatranská Kotlina was listed among natural healing spas already in 1891. Despite the low altitude (760 metres), the climate in the village has an alpine character and unlike the rest of the villages in the Tatras, it’s almost fog-free. The sanatorium offers health care as a specialised hospital – a specialised medical institution and as a natural climate spa.

The village is considered a climate spa and the environment is suitable for treating asthma, allergies and other respiratory diseases. The sanatorium focuses mainly on complex care for adult patients suffering from bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other unspecified (non-tuberculosis) respiratory diseases, mainly chronic ones. Thanks to the low altitude, the environment is suitable also for people with cardiovascular diseases. Preserved nature and easy walking terrain are ideal also for combined diseases.

Wellness and relaxation-treatment packages, senior and recondition stays, ski and school trips, corporate and other events are sought after mainly. The sanatorium makes a point in good communication with clients and an open approach so that everybody can feel that they are in a friendly atmosphere.
