SLOPES & TRAILS
The Tatranská Lomnica ski resort belongs to the highest situated resorts and boasts one of the steepest slopes in Slovakia – the black slope Lomnické sedlo with an elevation of up to 1300 m. The longest carving route is therefore up to 6.5 km long from 2190 m back to the valley station Tatranská Lomnica 880 m and up to 60 m wide.
The ski resort is characterized by its diversity, everyone will find their own here. In the lower part of the resort there are blue slopes designed for beginners, the middle section near the transfer station Start there are slopes designed for intermediate skiers.
Skiing enthusiasts and experienced skiers will especially enjoy the sections at an altitude of 1751 m in the vicinity of the popular destination Skalnaté Pleso. The top section, the legendary Lomnické sedlo slope, is designed for the best skiers. The slopes are constantly groomed, but if you want to enjoy a real adrenaline rush, you can enjoy freeride in the north-western Franzùska Mulde.

Take a trip with your family to Skalnate Pleso – a popular tourist destination or continue even higher to the second highest peak of the High Tatras – Lomnicky Peak. Take a ride above the clouds and experience unforgettable views of the surrounding peaks of the smallest mountains in the world. During the summer season, the Lomnické sedlo destination is also accessible for hikers, which can be reached from Skalnatý Pleso by chairlift.
Skalnaté Pleso
Visit the most popular tourist destination – Skalnaté pleso (tarn) at the altitude of 1,751 metres. A 4-person cable car operates from the lower station in Tatranská Lomnica to mid-station Štart and from there a modern 15-person cable car continues to Skalnaté Pleso. The area around the tarn is tailor-made for pleasant walks or hiking trips. Kids will love it there. They can frolic in the Marmot country – an eco-mini-park with wooden sculptures, a little marmot chalet, climbing frames and much more. There is an astronomical and meteorological observatory near Skalnaté pleso at the altitude of 1,786 metres. The observatory was established in 1943, when the first observations were made here. Relax and bag some rays at one of the highest located restaurants in the High Tatras – at the Panorama Restaurant Skalnaté pleso, which has a really fitting name. The sunny terrace offers beautiful panoramic views of surrounding rock peaks and tourist trails in the summer and the steepest ski slopes in Slovakia – Lomnické sedlo in the winter.
Lomnicky peak
Make a trip to the second highest peak of the High Tatras – Lomnicky peak (Lomnický štít) with your family. Get above the clouds and enjoy unforgettable views of surrounding peaks of the smallest grand mountains in the world. Enter the kingdom of silence and relax in the stylish Dedo café. A 4-person cable car operates from the lower station in Tatranská Lomnica to mid-station Štart, from there a comfortable 15-person cable car continues to Skalnaté Pleso – its upper station, which is also the interchange station on the journey to Mt. Lomnický štít. From there you can take a unique red suspension cable car to Lomnicky peak. which surmounts a vertical drop of 855 metres. The ride takes 8.5 minutes.

At the ski center in Tatranská Lomnica, skiers on the slope of Čučoriedka západ (eastern side of the slope) can measure their time on their run thanks to the Audi Ski Arena. The free service of slalom gates with a timer is suitable for the general public who want to try driving through the gates and get closer to the experience of a top world racer.
